At the end of 2024, the geopolitical landscape of the Middle East was shaken in ways only God could have foreseen. Hamas is weakened in Gaza, Hezbollah has been destabilized in Lebanon, and Assad is no longer ruling in Syria. Iran has lost influence in the region, and Russia has been diminished in the Middle East. Amidst all these changes, AFTA’s 134 church planters in 14 countries continued to serve in spite of economic hardship, political upheaval, armed conflict, and persecution.

Our workers have persevered, even as they have suffered alongside the people among whom they labor. In 2025, AFTA seeks to increase both the number of church planters and our geographic reach. Already we have started work among Muslim diaspora communities in northern Europe; and our work with Sudanese fleeing the civil war in Sudan has taken us to Uganda and Kenya.
