Hope Children’s Home Tour (07.25)
LAKEVIEW TOUR DAY!
On July 23, a group from Lakeview Church had the special opportunity to tour Hope Children’s Home in Tampa, one of our deeply valued local mission partners. This Christ-centered nonprofit ministry provides a nurturing home and holistic care for approximately 80 children—from infants through high school—who come from difficult or unsafe circumstances. Hope offers more than shelter; it provides a loving, structured, family-style environment where each child is known, cared for, and raised in the truth of God’s Word.
During the tour, around twenty Lakeview members walked through the cottages where children live as families under the care of dedicated house parents. They visited Hope Christian School, where students receive high-quality Christian education tailored to their needs, and spent time in the gym and chapel—spaces that reinforce healthy routines, community bonding, and spiritual growth. Church members met with staff and administrators who shared how daily discipleship, devotional rhythms, and academic care help shape each child’s future.
The visit was both inspiring and deeply moving. It allowed Lakeview’s missions team to witness the real outcomes of our financial and prayerful support—meals, clothing, mentorship, education, and spiritual formation. Seeing these efforts in action made the impact of our partnership tangible and unforgettable. As we continue to invest in Hope’s mission, we are reminded that our giving is sowing seeds of healing, transformation, and lasting hope in the lives of vulnerable children—equipping them to grow into the men and women God created them to be.
If you’d like to join in this life-changing work, please consider donating, giving, or volunteering to support Hope Children’s Home—and help bring hope, stability, and Jesus’ love to more children. Please join the Lakeview Missions Group to learn more!
