CLEANING CLASSROOMS AS A BLESSING –

Today, many of the members of Four Doors Down (a small group from Lakeview Church) and Gary (thanks, Gary!) completed a hands-on service project at Hope Children’s Home. The team spent the day deep cleaning key areas of the campus, including the school and cafeteria. They scrubbed desks, chairs, whiteboards, cabinets, and classroom surfaces—giving the learning spaces a fresh start for the upcoming school year. In the cafeteria, every table was wiped down and sanitized, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for the children to enjoy their meals. Their hard work was simple and practical, but also deeply meaningful.

If you haven’t heard of this Lakeview-supported local charity, Hope Children’s Home exists to provide a loving, Christ-centered environment for children who, through no fault of their own, cannot live with their families. The staff and volunteers pour into these young lives—offering stability, education, and most importantly, the hope of the Gospel.

As followers of Christ, we are called to serve—whether through large, life-changing efforts or through quiet, behind-the-scenes work like cleaning a classroom. Every act of service, no matter the size, becomes an expression of God’s love when done in His name. We live out this calling whenever we meet a real need, reminding us all that simple acts of faithfulness can make a lasting impact.
