Jesus Film Update (06.25)
MISSION TO INDIA –
George reports a successful trip to India, where 11 partner organizations made meaningful connections and began collaborative efforts. A follow-up meeting is scheduled this week to continue building momentum. He will also attend a Southeast & South Asia (SESA) conference in late June with National Jesus Film leaders to strengthen relationships and align ministry goals across the region. Lucinda is heading to Thailand for a full schedule, starting with a visit and prayer for the local Jesus Film staff. She’ll then participate in the Global Prayer Council’s annual in-person meetings (May 18–20), where the team will develop a three-year strategic plan. Following that, 40–50 national prayer leaders will gather for the Global Prayer Summit (May 20–23) to share mutual encouragement and vision. Prayer is requested for safe travel, reliable technology, spiritual clarity, and effective communication. George undertook this role as Team Leader for the Southeast and South Asia (SESA) Global Expansion team.
Additionally, the Bangladesh conference was a tremendous success! Almost 450 church planters or pastors from 53 denominations attended. They heard the vision of our national director to double the number of believers in the country in just a few years. The theme was “Everyone Can Reach Someone, Together Can Reach Everyone.” During the conference, they were introduced to the “Knowing Jesus” strategy, which uses the 61 short segments of “JESUS” as its lessons. Before the conference, 22 were trained as trainers who will eventually train more than 1,000 others in this effective strategy.
